As a Church of England school we believe that good education must promote life in all its fullness.
Our Design and Technology vision is to equip all children with the knowledge and skills to think, plan and solve problems in an imaginative and dynamic environment.
Our Principles of Design Technology Teaching:
- to create a curriculum that is creative, imaginative and inspiring
- to engage children in creative and inspiring lessons and so they can see a purpose to tasks
- for children to think critically and understand the impact their thinking has on the wider world
- for children to be motivated and have a critical understanding of how Design Technology impacts on daily life
- children are happy to take risks and work resourcefully
- children can evaluate the success of their outcomes and make adaptations for improvement
