Worship Council

Pupils are elected by their class to become members of the Worship Council. Because we are a church school, we want to help everyone to enjoy worshipping God.

This is what we do:

  • Help to lead worship
  • Discuss worship and how it can be even better
  • Help choose worship songs
  • Have ideas for prayers.
  • Think and talk about the church ethos of our school and how it can be further improved
  • Look for children who are demonstrating the Christian value we are focusing on

Our Worship Ambassadors for 2020-21:
Class 1:  Darcie and Edward
Class 2: Evelyn and Daisy
Class 3:  Frazer and Molly
Class 4: Jackson and Maisie -Jean

Since lockdown in January the Worship Council have continued to meet every 2 weeks to discuss worship. Last half term the Christian value we were focusing on was 'hope'. The Worship Council encouraged the idea of the 'Hope Tree' in school to build strong bonds of togetherness in the community. They shared ideas of hope stories to share in worship and Maisie-Jean wrote her own poem which was shared at worship.
Moving forward to Spring half term 2 the Worship Council would like to contribute more to worship sessions by reading poems, stories and prayers linked to our Christian value of 'forgiveness'.
