Virtual Town Sports 2020

Crewe & Nantwich School Sports Partnership have released details of a Virtual Town Sports running next week. Please
find the activity cards for the 5 Virtual Town Sports events attached. The
pupils can have a go at any or all of these events and have until Friday 26th
June to send their entries in to school via social media or email, these images will be sent onto the organisers of the competition so if you do not want your child to appear on social media or the websitethen please make sure they are not facing the camera.

We will be promoting the field events (Standing Long Jump, Standing Triple Jump
and Shot Put) on Monday 22nd June and the track events (Bean Bag and Hurdle
races) on Wednesday 24th June but please feel free to send them out in any
order you like.

The aim of the Virtual Town Sports is for as many pupils to take part as possible
and so we are not looking for times or distances to be sent in just evidence on
them having a go, either on their own or with family etc.

  • There will be 5 events for the pupils to take part in, 3 field and 2 track events. The 3 field events will be released on the Monday and the 2 track events on the Wednesday. The details will be posted on the C&N SSP social media pages. @CandNSSP

-Children can compete against other people in their household and schools may want to run competitions between classes etc but the main competition will be based on the number of children taking part from each school.

-Pupils can have a go at 1 or all of the challenges and submit pictures or videos of themselves taking part to me via social media or email. A point will be awarded for each pupil taking part in each event and the school with the most points will be our Virtual Town Sports winner.

-The pupils will have till Friday 26th June to submit their entries into the competition.

-Each pupil taking part will receive a digital certificate.
-The events will be simple to run and require very little equipment.     Have fun!
