I'm sure you're all aware of the terrible situation in the Ukraine. I think it goes without saying that we should all be helping in any way we can. With this in mind my other half, Steve, has organised transport and through his company has decided to personally take some much-needed supplies to the refugees at the Polish border and we are hoping our local community can support this appeal.
We are asking for your help and support. We are looking for any donations of essential items that we will collect from school. Steve plans to go on Monday 21st March, or before if we can fill a van or two!!
If you would like to help with this, the items we are looking for are:
sleeping bags,
gloves and thermal socks for children and adults,
nappies,
baby wipes,
toiletries such as shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste,
female hygiene items,
instant food such as pot noodles,
baby formula/powdered baby milk
torches with batteries
All items must be new, unused and in original packaging. Food should have at least a year use by date. As you can imagine, time is precious so we need to act quickly. We are aiming to collect all donations by the end of next week. If you could please bring any donations directly to the office at the end of a school day.
Thank you for any help and support you are able offer.
Many thanks
Caroline Middleton
