As part of their work towards The Archbishop’s Leadership Award, Class 4 have truly lived out the message: “Be the change you want to see.”

Every day, the children of Bridgemere School see cars and tractors speeding past our gates. Although the limit outside school is normally 60mph, it is reduced to 20mph during drop-off and pick-up times to keep everyone safe. Sadly, many drivers ignore this rule — putting children, parents, and staff in real danger.

Class 4 believe this is unfair and unacceptable. Everyone deserves to feel safe coming to school. That’s why they’ve taken action — creating powerful posters, and writing to our local MP, councillor, CE Highways, and PC Nick Jarvis to demand change.

Their goal is simple but vital: to make the warning lights outside our school clearer and more visible, and to ensure that all motorists respect the 20mph limit.

Together, Class 4 are proving that even young voices can challenge injustice and make a difference.
