New wellie racks....

Bridgemere CE Primary is delighted to share a wonderful addition to our outdoor spaces, made possible through the kindness and generosity of our local community.

A huge thank you goes to the fantastic volunteers at Men’s Sheds and to Corrine O’Neil for helping bring a long-standing wish to life. Corrine kindly approached the Men’s Sheds team on behalf of the school, asking if they could create welly racks for Classes 2, 3 and 4—something that has been on teachers’ wish lists for many years.

We are thrilled to say that the first of three beautifully crafted racks has now been delivered, and it already looks fantastic in place. Not only do these racks provide a practical storage solution, but they will also make a real difference to the day-to-day school environment. Our children absolutely love getting outdoors and embracing muddy play, and now we can keep that mud where it belongs—outside—while keeping classrooms tidy and organised.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Corrine’s husband, Dean, who generously gave up his time and use of his trailer to collect and deliver the rack to school.

This project is a perfect example of what can be achieved when a community comes together. We are incredibly grateful for the time, effort and care that has gone into creating these racks, and we know they will be appreciated by both staff and pupils for years to come.

Thank you once again to everyone involved—you’ve truly made a difference at Bridgemere!
