Letter of Response from Aphra Brandreth MP

Today Bridgemere CE Primary School received a letter from Aphra Brandreth MP, Member of Parliament for Chester South and Eddisbury, in response to correspondence from pupils in Class 4 regarding traffic safety outside the school.
In her letter, Ms Brandreth commended the pupils for clearly expressing their concerns and for demonstrating a strong commitment to the safety of the community and the environment. She confirmed that she has written to the Chief Executive of Cheshire East Council to raise the issues highlighted and to request that measures be considered to improve road safety, including the possibility of reducing the speed limit.

Ms Brandreth also recognised the pupils’ enthusiasm for learning about climate change and sustainable travel and expressed her hope to visit the school in the near future to meet the children and discuss their ideas further.

Well done Class 4 – as part of your work towards The Archbishop’s Leadership Award, you are truly living out the message: “Be the change you want to see.”
