Harvest Collection

harvest 2

Thank you to all the children and parents who have donated to this years Harvest collection. Nantwich food bank will be collecting all the items this morning and we can't wait to show them how much we have collected this year. Harvest is a very special time at our school and these kind donations are so important to the local community especially in the current climate. Please enjoy these two poems by children from Class 4 summarising what Harvest means to them.

Foodbanks help every day,
They do it in a friendly way,
Foodbanks make people joyful,
They also make them a little hopeful,
They give you food to take,
You can even have cake,
Foodbanks make people less stressed,
Supporting and guiding them through the distress,
Help your local foodbanks today,
Anything you may give will go a long way,
Lucy, Year 5

You will be greeted with a smile,
You can relax it wont take a while,
The door are open every day,
There is no worry, you don't need to pay,
Volunteers will sit you down with a cup of tea,
And will set your mind totally free,
With the current virus spreading around,
Many jobs have been lost around the local town,
The foodbanks need your help to keep them stocked up full,
And then people's lives will no longer be dull,
Archie, Year 5
