Once again our fabulous Year 5 artists have won first prize at the Primary dot-art Competition!
Big congratulations to Archie Kent who scooped the prize yesterday at the dot-art Prize Giving in the concert room at St George's Hall in Liverpool.
Archie's painting 'Wild Flower Meadow' was voted the best entry for Bridgemere last month and yesterday was picked by guest judge Susan Coles to be the Primary winner across 71 schools. This is an amazing achievement as there were over 1,400 entries.
Archie created 'Wild Flower Meadow' using acrylic and mixed media. He used a layering technique to create his floral landscape.
This is the third year in a row that Bridgemere CE Primary have won this prestigious award. Last year Roman Waring, now in Year 6 won with 'Protecting the Environment' and in 2021 Jack Kent, older brother to Archie, won with 'Dandelion Seed Burst'.
A big thank you to Mrs Smart who has guided all our children to reach their artist potential and instilled a love of art for future years to come.
Archie's 'Wild Flower Meadow' painting will be in the dot-art School Exhibition at the Walker Art gallery in Liverpool until the 2nd July.
A big well done to Harvey and Monty who were runners up at Bridgemere this year and supported Archie yesterday.
