Mrs Emily Verow- Chair of Governors
I was appointed as Chair of Governors at Bridgemere in April 2018 after originally joining the board as a parent governor. I am an Executive Headteacher of two schools in Staffordshire, working across both the primary and secondary phase of education. I have worked in education for 20 years originally starting my career as a teacher of English and I very much still enjoy being in the classroom when time allows. I represent Newcastle Headteachers at the Staffordshire's Headteacher Forum and recently completed an MSC in Educational Leadership and Management.
I live locally in Nantwich with my husband Ian and our two children, Raphael and Claudia. Much of our free time is taken up with sporting activities as we all enjoy participating in and observing a range of sports and keeping active. We also enjoy travel and often plan to visit new places in school holiday time.
I am a passionate educationalist who fully acknowledges the transformational power of a first class education. I am pleased to be part of Bridgemere's journey as it enters the next stage of its development and continues to go from strength to strength. In my role as Chair of Governors I fully recognise the need to provide high quality leadership to the school and will endeavour to continue to support the school and its community as the school continues on its journey to becoming truly outstanding.
Mrs Elizabeth Ford - Safeguarding and Literacy Governor
I am Liz Ford and I joined the Governing Body of Bridgemere in 2017. I am a Diocesan member which means I have been appointed by the Church. I am also a director of RLLAT
I have been involved in governing for over 20 years, initially as a parent governor at Acton C of E School then as a community governor. I also twice held the post of Chair of the Governors at that school becoming a Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors when it joined with Calveley School to form Real Life Leaning Academy Trust. However my involvement with Bridgemere dates back even further as, along with my two sisters, I was a pupil at Bridgemere! My father was also a governor there so I have a great deal of affinity to this lovely rural school. Along with the other governors and staff I am committed to seeing Bridgemere continue to improve to ensure that all its pupils get the education they deserve.
