Mrs Joanna Longman - Chair of Governors

I am Joanna Longman and I am a  a designated National Lead Governor. I am also a governor at Holmes Chapel Primary and Comprehensive schools. I am trained in carrying out external reviews of governance, reviewing MAT governance structures and have been closely involved with setting up local governing networking and training meetings. I have a professional finance background. My areas of expertise include: facilitating effective governance structures and systems; ensuring governors are confident in their monitoring roles and academy finances. 


Mrs Elizabeth Ford - Safeguarding, Reading and Phonics  Governor


I am Liz Ford and I joined the Bridgemere Governing Body in 2017. I am also a director at the Real Life Learning Academy Trust. I am a partner in our family run farm and have been involved in that business since 1982. I am also Secretary and Treasurer of Acton Parish Hall. 



Fiona Sloyan - Vice Chair, Training and Development Governor


I am Fiona Sloyan and I have lived in Cheshire for over 20 years. My two eldest children are now established in their own homes, but I have one son still going through university. I am also a director at the Real Life Learning Academy Trust. My working life was spent mainly within the Probation Service, firstly working as a Probation Officer in various fields, before moving into training where I became a qualified NVQ assessor and worked with John Moores University, and finally moving back to the main service within management undertaking staff performance management, capability proceedings and monitoring of standards.  I also spent 8 years working in the Middle East as a social worker in various hospital departments with a diverse population.  I was involved in setting up new services and devising the structures and systems to support them.


Mrs Rachel Griffiths - Pupil Premium and P.E Governor


Mrs Jan Morgan - R.E and Collective Worship Governor

 I am Janet Morgan a retired teacher. My own children attended Audlem School and I was a parent governor there for several years. I was asked by Rev Helen Chantry to be a church representative here and have been a member for 6 years. I try to spend at least one afternoon each week in school assisting in  a classroom. This helps to keep me aware of the developments in education as it is constantly changing. Through Church I am a member of a team working on "Open the Book" bible assemblies and we take these to Bridgemere, Audlem and Stapeley Primary Schools once each half term.

I am on both the Finance, Business and Education Committees and link governor for Worship and RE.


Mrs Emily Verow - Nursery and EYFS Governor

Mrs Verow is a parent of two children in the school. She has been a governor since April 2015. Her term of office is until 28/04/19.

She is head teacher at a High School. 

She is  on the Education Committee and is the Pupil Premium link governor.


Mrs Kathy Percival - Vice Chair, SEN and LAC Governor

I am Kathy Percival and l have been a governor at this school since September 2009. I am  a foundation governor. my children both attended Bridgemere CE Primary School  and I was a committee member of the Friends for many years, before becoming a volunteer helper. An active member of the local community, I passionately believe in the importance of keeping this school at its heart. I moved to Bridgemere in 1986, and was a parish councillor for 15 years and PCC secretary at St John’s Doddington, before becoming a foundation governor in 2009. I have served on both the Curriculum and Resources Committees, and am the link governor for SEND and Looked After Children, recently taking on the role of vice chair.


Miss Sarah Willington - Staff , Health and Safety Governor

I joined the school in December 2008 as the Early Years Teacher in Class One. I have been on the governing body since February 2011. My terms of office is until 17/02/19. I am the deputy safeguarding lead and link governor Cared for Children. I am the PE and EYFS coordinator. I deputise alongside Mrs Lock.

I am on the Education Committee.

I am the Web Compliance link governor.  


Mrs Sam Foyle - (Doddington Parish County Council) Behaviour and Collaboration Governor

Mrs Foyle is  a parent of two children in school. She has been a governor since February 2014. Her term of office is until 13/02/18. She is a foundation governor. She is on the Education Committee. She is the link governor for Sports Premium.
