Class 2

A Little About Me

My name is Mr Morrison and I have been teaching for 8 years.  I used to live down in Gloucester but now live in Alsager.  I have a new, smiley little daughter called Merida, who keeps me on my toes and makes sure I don't get too much sleep at night.  I also have a little white fluffy dog called Dot who loves to roll in muddy puddles whenever she goes on a walk  I love singing and dancing so we do lots in Class 2; we love singing songs and shaking our bottoms.  I haven't been at Bridgemere long but already I feel at home, thanks to the amazingly lovely staff and the magnificent children.

This half term our topic has all been about the 'British Isles'.  Next term we will be learning all about the Gunpowder Plot.

We will start our year as explorers and meteorologists! We are starting our topic looking at the British Isles and we will explore all four countries. We will discover Edinburgh Castle, see if the Loch Ness Monster is real and maybe even try some Haggis when we look at Scotland. We will explore dragons, Cardiff Bay and learn a little Welsh. We will learn Irish dancing and see if leprechauns will share their pots of gold. Finally we will explore London's famous landmarks, look at historical castles and taste food from the four corners of England. We will look at the weather in the British Isles and design postcards based on our most famous landmarks.

In science we are going to be learning about Animals including humans. We will discover the importance of exercise, a balanced diet and brushing our teeth! We will also learn about animals and the special habitats they live in.
